Springville - Rev. Charles L. Terry, 87, of Springville, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012. He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald Lee Terry; and brothers, James D. Terry and Thomas Terry. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Dickey Terry; sons, Randall Terry and DeWayne Terry (Sharon); daughter, Lynnelle Terry; brother, Henry Inzer Terry (Ann Hale); sister, Martha Lawrence Roberts (Joe); sister-in-law, Frankie Terry; grandchildren, Stephanie Michelle Dollar (Joe) and Melissa Lauren Terry; and several nieces and nephews. Charles was a veteran of World War II and retired after 36 years of ministry where he served at Ruhama Baptist Church in Anniston, Bemiston Baptist Church in Talladega, and Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Gadsden. He also served as the St. Clair County Associational Missionary. He was a cherished husband, father and grandfather. His service will be at the First Baptist Church of Springville today, October 25, 2012, beginning at 1 p.m. where he will lie-in-state from 12-1 p.m. with Rev. Chip Thornton and Rev. Ed Massey officiating. Burial will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. Ridout's Trussville Chapel is in charge.
