Oxford - Graveside services for Hilda Winnette Gravette Haynes, 79, will be today, December 15, 2012, at Coldwater Cemetery with the Reverend David Lynn Haynes presiding over the private service. Mrs. Haynes went to be with her Lord on December 13, 2012 at Regional Medical Center. She was surrounded the last days by her family, relatives, and friends. Winnette was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Cornelius Gravette and his wife, Bernice Ray Gravette; her husband, Byron Howard Haynes Sr., and two brothers, Marvin Cornelius Gravette and Thomas Dewitt Gravette. Mrs. Haynes was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and was active in the Children's Department when her children were young. She was retired from Anniston Army Depot and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her two sons, Byron Howard "Buddy" Haynes Jr. (Slenda) and David Lynn Haynes (Carol), both of Oxford; grandchildren, Jason Edward Haynes (Crissy), Jennifer Jane Wiggins, Joshua Byron Haynes, Jordan Michele Swafford (Jimmy), William Barris Yohe, Nathan Lynn Haynes (Dinah), Andrew Lynn Haynes, Jordan Lynn Haynes, Leslie Lynne Haynes, and Lauren Lynne Haynes; great-grandchildren, Zechariah Jason Haynes, Trenton Luke Haynes, Abigail Jean Haynes, Emma Jane Wiggins, Ethan Irby Wiggins, Jayden Chance Swafford, and Jenna Grace Swafford; a brother, Kenneth Aaron Gravette (Ann); two sisters, Ailene Joyce Wood (Bobby) and Linda Fay Hampton (Frank); sisters-in-law, Jo Vickers Gravette and Frankie Gravette; and a host of other relatives. Pallbearers will be Jason Haynes, Josh Haynes, William Yohe, Nathan Haynes, Andrew Haynes and Jordan Haynes. Clay County Funeral Home in charge of the services.
