Anniston - Graveside services for Mr. Jack Bryan, 86, of Anniston, will be Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Forestlawn Gardens with Dr. Roland Brown officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. Mr. Bryan passed away following an extended illness on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. An Alabama native, Mr. Bryan was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years. Mr. Bryan was a kind and loving husband and father and will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Bryan is preceded in death by his first wife, Muriel Rebecca Bryan; daughter, Teresa Gail Bowden; and brother, Harvey Leonard Bryan Jr. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Bryan; sons, Mike Bryan and his wife, Janice, and Gene Bryan and his wife, Barbara; stepsons, Dennis Griggs and his wife, Ramona, and Larry Griggs and his wife, Ruth; stepdaughters, Bonita Turton and her husband, Shearer, and Caryl Bryant and her husband, Mark; nineteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Francis Sparks; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary Program, P.O. Box 2208, Anniston, AL 36202.
