Lineville - A gathering of friends for Mr. Ronald Ray Eubanks, 61, of Lineville, will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Mr. Eubanks passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at his home. He was born in Cherokee County, Alabama, was a former resident of Piedmont, but had lived most of his life in Clay County. He had worked as a welder at Weaver and Sons Fabricating Company and had also worked at Wellborn Cabinet Company. Mr. Eubanks was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served for four years in the U.S. Air Force and was also a member of Shiloh Baptist Church (Lineville). He is survived by three daughters, Tracy Echols, of Jacksonville, Jamie Watts (Neil) and Ashley Williams (Basil), both of Ashland; two sisters, Nancy Carey, of Anniston and Sharon Lester, of White Plains; four brothers, Clayton Christian, of Piedmont, Howard Eubanks Jr., of Centre, Tony Eubanks and Eddie Eubanks, both of Piedmont and seven grandchildren. Mr. Eubanks was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Eubanks and Mary Jane Christian Eubanks. The family will accept flowers, but prefer that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Clay County, P.O. Box 1270 Ashland, Alabama 36251. Friends and family are invited to share memories or leave condolences on-line at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
