Day, FL - Mrs. Leigh Anne Fowler, 40, of Day, Florida, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at her residence. Leigh Anne was born June 18, 1972 in Rome, Georgia, to Ted Anderson and the former Freddie Jennings. Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Rev. Lamar Anderson. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Lafayette County, Florida. She worked for several years as a secretary for Lafayette County EMS and in her spare time enjoyed hunting, spending time outdoors, and especially spending time with her daughter. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Tafoya, of Littleton, Colo.; her daughter, Haley Fowler, of Mayo; her father, Ted Anderson, and wife, Judy, of Jacksonville; her mother, Freddie Ann Vinson, and husband, Jeff, of Anniston; one brother, Jamie Anderson, of Anniston; her paternal grandmother, Clarice Koon, and husband, Floyd, of Mayo; her maternal grandparents, Fred and Sarah Jennings Jr., of Rock Run; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Brewer Lake Baptist Church in Day, Fla. with Bro. Matt Swain, Bro. Rick James, and Bro. Thomas Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Day Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight, April 24, 2013, at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Mayo. Memorial contributions may be made to either Brewer Lake Baptist Church or Mayo Baptist Church. All arrangements are under the care of Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
