Memorial Service for Jerry Edward LeCroy Sr., 82 will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Forty Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Jerry Edward LeCroy Sr., born in Montgomery, Alabama on March 5, 1931 and a longtime resident of Anniston, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014. He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years; Minnie Magouyrk LeCroy of Anniston; four children; Jerry Edward (Virginia) LeCroy Jr. of Huntsville, Ala., Laurens Alan (Linda) LeCroy of Brandon, Fla., Helen Virginia LeCroy Lee (Fred Steere) of Buda, Tx. and John Andrew (Vickie) LeCroy of Jackson, Tenn.; stepson Gregory Steve (Darlene) Jarvis; grandchildren: Jonathan (Mary) LeCroy, Christopher LeCroy, Alicia LeCroy, Michael Lee, Katherine Lee, Andrew LeCroy and David Lee; step-granddaughters: Heather (Paul) Rogers and Michelle (Duane) Novotni; step-great grandchildren: Madison Swafford, Lizzie Rogers, Roy Allen Rogers; brother, Earl Wesley LeCroy; sister, Evelyn Faye (Jackie) Ashworth and June Carol (James) Brewer; as well as other relatives. Jerry made his living as a saleman. He loved his family, loved the game of Bridge and achieved the status of Gold Life Master. He loved to sing and was a soloist for years at First Presbyterian in Montgomery, loved the technology of automobiles particularly Mercedes and Alfa Romeoson which he developed considerable expertise. He loved his dogs and cats, making and directing fantastic meals borne of a creative mind. Mr. Lecroy was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Troy Edward LeCroy and Ruby Lillian Sellers LeCroy.
