Audrey Threadgill

CHERAW, S.C. Audrey Carter Threadgill, 83, died on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at her home. She was born on Oct. 20, 1930 in Hoffman, N.C., a daughter of the late Sam Jones Carter and Ollie Virginia Covington Carter.

Mrs. Threadgill was a graduate of Morven High School and a housewife and loving Mom and MeMa. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and attended Lower Macedonia Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking, sewing, shopping, traveling, talking with her friends on the phone, and taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Threadgill was also preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Brooks and an infant sister, and two brothers, S.J. and Tilton Carter.

Mrs. Threadgill is survived by her husband of 64 years, H. Frank Threadgill, of the home; son, Daryl (Linda) Threadgill of Easley, S.C.; two daughters, Hope (Mike) Crawford of Six Mile, S.C., and Joye (Wayne) Caulder of Cheraw; five grandchildren, Daniel Young, Steven (Ashley) Young, Austin (Karen) Caulder, Garrett Caulder, and Matt (Kathleen) Threadgill; three great-grandchildren, Bennett Caulder and Sean and Jay Threadgill; one brother, Terry (Julia) Carter of McFarlan, N.C.; and three sisters, Eleanor Pesce of Wadesboro, N.C., Hazel Caulder of Chesterfield, S.C., and Ollie Mae Chewning, of Wadesboro.

Her funeral service was held on June 30, 2014 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation was held prior to the service, and interment followed in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
