POLKTON, N.C. — Elsie Lou Randall, 78, of Polkton, passed away early Wednesday morning, Oct. 19, 2016 at CHS-Stanly.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 at Red Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Rodney Clements will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday night, Oct. 21, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. The family will gather at Lou's home Friday during the day to welcome family and friends that wish to visit.
Lou was born Jan. 13, 1938 in Anson County to the late Eli Randolph Randall and Mina Lee Hancock Randall. She was a 1956 graduate of Ansonville High School and a graduate of Pembroke University. She taught first and second grade at Peachland and Polkton Elementary Schools. She was a faithful and active member of Red Hill Baptist Church where she was the church organist for more than 40 years. Upon her retirement as organist, she was honored by her church family with "Lou Randall Day", for her dedication and service to the church. In addition to serving as organist, she was involved in many areas of the church, Sunday school and the Forever Young group. She was also active in the "Classy Ladies" Red Hat Club. Lou was a very caring lady; she visited the sick and those who were unable to leave their homes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, George Randall and sister, Ada Lee Clark.
She is survived by brothers, Max Randall and wife, Janie, of Polkton and Benton Randall and wife, Priscilla, of Wadesboro; sister, Jill Biles and husband, Dexter, of Norwood; and many nieces and nephews.
