AGE: 22 • Lanoka Harbor
Kayla Marie Hayes, 22, of Lanoka Harbor passed suddenly on January 4, 2013. Born in Toms River, Kayla has resided in Lanoka Harbor most all of her life. She was employed as a licensed hair dresser in the area. Kayla's radiant personality and infectious smile could light up a room. Her selflessness could always raise up the darkest of spirits and no one in need could escape her kindness. She is predeceased by both grandfathers, John Hayes Sr. and Robert Kennedy. Surviving are her parents, John Jr. and Maureen Hayes; her brother and best friend Stephen Hayes; her maternal grandmother Jean Kennedy and her paternal grandmother Marie Hayes. Also surviving are many loving and caring extended family members and friends. A Life Celebration will be offered on Thursday, Jan. 10th, from 4-8pm, with services at 7:30pm, in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. If possible, the family has requested that everyone wear something pink or something with leopard print, or don "hello kitty" icons to the services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kayla's memory to a children's charity of your choice, would be appreciated.

Kayla will be missed by so many people, but she will live in our memories and hearts forever. She had a smile that would light up a room and the personality to follow it. I have daughters the same age and my heart breaks for your parents . I can't ever imagine a beautiful soul being taken so soon.
