Joan Frances Edmonds (Bell), of Bryn Mawr, PA and formerly of Rumson, NJ passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at her home. She was the wife of Patrick G. Edmonds with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia PA, she was the daughter of the late Nora Hanlon Bell and Thomas F. Bell. Joan graduated from Notre Dame High School and Immaculata University in 1952. She was a parishoner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Springfield, PA.

In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her daughter, Nora and son, Kevin. Surviving Joan, in addition to her husband, Patrick, are her daughter, Kathryn and husband Jon of Wynnewood, PA; and three sons, Christopher and his wife Mary of Landenberg, PA and their children, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Sean, and Thomas; Patrick and his wife Laura of New Canaan, CT and their children, Griffin and Ava; Brian and Amber of Sedona, AZ, and their son Blaise. Joan is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Christine and her children, Kevin Harrison and Adrienne. In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Thomas and his wife Alice of Lansdowne, PA and Donald and his wife Mary of Drexel Hill, PA and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 135 Saxer Ave., Springfield, PA. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joan Edmonds may be made to the charity of your choice.
