Lola Ryder-Grassman

Lola Ryder-Grassman, 67, of Whiting, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. Born in Newark, she resided in Toms River and retired to the Island of Vieques in Puerto Rico prior to moving to Whiting in 2011. She worked as an Office Manager for Project Open House in Freehold, NJ for over 15 years until her retirement in 2007. Lola was an avid poker player and had a true passion for cooking. She was predeceased by her longtime companion, William Milne. Surviving are her children, Thomas Grassman of Toms River, and Melissa Grassman of Toms River; brother, Kane Ryder of Pottstown, PA; and grandchildren, Austin DiMarco, Amanda Grassman and Alyssa Grassman. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, with a funeral service at 8:30 p.m. at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
