Thelma D. Bray

AGE: 91 • Neptune

Thelma Dorothy Bray, 91, of Neptune, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2014. Born in Pleasantville, Thelma was raised in Margate, moved to W. Belmar in 1994 and then Neptune in 2002. She worked at Union Carbide and Dow Badishe in Rutherford. Thelma also had her own radio show along with her husband in Trenton during the 1970's dealing with National safety "Now is the Time". She was a member of the Presbyterian Church on the Hill, Ocean Township. Thelma was a loving and caring wife and mother.

Thelma was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Thelma Bray; her husband, William Scott Bray in 2001; and her son, Scott Frayer Bray in 1995. She is survived by her two grandchildren, Jessica Bray and Danielle Bray; and her sister, Barbara and her husband, John Friorino of Baltimore, MD. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. in Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Ave., Asbury Park. Interment will follow in Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church on the Hill, 10 Cold Indian Springs Road, Ocean, NJ 07712 or Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
