Clarke Jr., Francis Mann - 87, Bound Brook  
Francis Mann Clarke Jr. AGE: 87 • Bound Brook Dr Francis Mann (Frank) Clarke, Jr. died 27 June 2015 in Somerville, NJ. He was born 25 May 1928, in Philadelphia, PA, the first of three children of Francis Mann Clarke and Edith Sunday Clarke. He attended Rutgers Preparatory Grammar School in New Brunswick, and was a 1945 graduate of The Hill School, Pottstown, PA. He took an undergraduate degree (A.B., History, 1949) from Princeton University, where he was a member of Key and Seal. He received his M.D. in 1953 from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of Alpha Mu Phi Omega and the William Pepper Society. In 1952 he was commissioned a lieutenant in the United States Navy, where he served on active duty in the medical corps until 1954. He retired from the USNR in 1975 with the rank of Captain. Dr Clarke practiced General Surgery for over five decades, with three of these being as Chair of the Department of Surgery at St Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. In 1955, while pursuing a surgical residency at The Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD, he met Barbara Louise Livezey, who he married in 1955, and who would become the mother of his three children, Elizabeth Anne, Francis Mann (III), and Peter Livezey. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara (2011), and by his sister, Cornelia Bonner Clarke Chapin (1990). He is survived by his second wife, Carolyn Ellicott Croker Boykin, of Ruxton, Md. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his brother, John Caleb Foreman Clarke, and six grandchildren - Casey Clarke Frisch, Robert M. (Chip) Frisch III, Linden Stewart Clarke, Katherine Greer Clarke, Nicholas Evetts Clarke, and Kessler Livezey Clarke. He also leaves a son-in-law, Robert M. Frisch, and daughters-in-law Jeanne Decker Clarke and Julie Evetts Clarke. He was a Life Member and served in official capacity in numerous genealogical and ancestral organizations, among these as Governor and Surgeon General of the Society of Colonial Wars; Sons of the Revolution; and The Society of the War of 1812. His family will receive visitors at his home at 104 Piedmont Drive, Bound Brook from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday 2 July. A funeral service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 5 Patterson Street, New Brunswick at 10:00 a.m., Friday 3 July. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery, North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ or to The Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Arrangements are under the direction of Quackenboss Funeral Home, New Brunswick.

Anne Camoosa AGE: 73 • Anne Camoosa (Jozaitis), 73, passed away on June 26, 2015 in San Francisco, CA after a brave battle with cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher. Anne was born on August 15, 1941 in Waterbury, CT to the late Charles and Victoria Jozaitis. She was raised in Elizabeth, NJ and graduated from Saint Mary's High School. She continued her studies at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Convent Station, NJ where she earned her B.A. in English in 1963. Following graduation, Anne became a teacher at the Ardena School in the Howell Township School District, where she met her husband, Robert Camoosa of Asbury Park, NJ. They wed in 1965 and lived in Toms River, NJ for 45 years. Anne loved the beach and she dreamed of a retirement home by the ocean. Robert and Anne traveled throughout the Southeast and after many trips, they found their ideal beach hide-away on Fripp Island, SC. Anne retired from teaching in 2004 and permanently moved to Fripp Island, SC in 2008. She enjoyed spending her days on the beach combing for treasures and especially looked forward to spending summers with her grandkids. Anne was a parishioner of Saint Peter's Catholic Church, Lady's Island, SC. She was a member of the Fripp Island Club and Fripp Island Yacht Club, and a past member of the National Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association, and the Howell Township Education Association. Anne is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert; her son Keith, his wife Lidia, and her 2 cherished grandchildren, Sebastian and Charles, of Orinda, CA; her brother, Cashmir Jozaitis and his wife, Antoinette of Mayer, Arizona; and 3 nephews and 1 niece.

Catena, Frank A. - 87, Manchester  
Frank A. Catena AGE: 87 • Manchester Frank A. Catena, 87, of Manchester Twp., died June 27, 2015 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Frank was a truck driver before retiring from Geerlings Greenhouses, Piscataway. Born in Wood Ridge, he resided in Piscataway before moving to Manchester Twp. 17 years ago. Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Frank had a beautiful singing voice and liked playing guitar. He was a rifleman and enjoyed hunting. Frank was predeceased by his daughter Deborah J. Catena in 2007; his brother Nicholas Catena and sister Angelina Catena. Frank is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years Joan; 3 sons Frank A. and wife Michelle of Piscataway; Michael R. and wife Linda of Highland Park; Russell M. of Piscataway; his daughter Donna M. Catena-Gernay and husband John of Piscataway; his sister Nicolina Catena of West Orange; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Verna A. Baca Chodkiewicz AGE: 94 • Lehighton, PA, formerly of South River Verna A. Baca Chodkiewicz died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Palmerton Hospital, Palmerton, PA. She was 94. Born in Fords, she resided in South River for 53 years before moving to Lehighton, PA. She was inducted into the St. Peter's High School Hall of Fame for her achievement in basketball. Prior to her retirement, she was a laboratory technician. Mrs. Chodkiewicz was a communicant of Corpus Christi RC Church, South River, and a member of the South River Elks, Lodge #2033. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Chodkiewicz, in 1976; and her brother, Robert Baca. Surviving are her sister, Regina Baca of South River; 2 nephews, Mark and Eric Pintinics; 3 nieces, Stephanie Freed and her husband, Kevin, Jacqueline Pintinics, and Lisa Yard and her husband, John; and a great niece, Annabella Freed, and great nephew, Jack Yard. Angelina Cornett AGE: 80 • North Brunswick Angelina (Casamassimo) Cornett died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at St. Peters University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 80. Born and raised in Jersey City, Angelina had resided in North Brunswick for the past 25 years. She was an administrative Assistant for DYFS in Jersey City and in her early years had been a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. She was predeceased by her husband William and son Jimmy Garrabrant. Surviving are children, John and his wife Gerry Garrabrant of Colonia, Elaine Vostrovsky of Branchburg and grandchildren, Michelle Garrabrant and twins Abigail & Aidan Vostrovsky. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Crabtree, John - 89, Former Resident Of Bridgewater  
John Crabtree AGE: 89 • former resident of Bridgewater Whitehouse Station - John Crabtree, 89, a former resident of Bridgewater, died on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at his home. He was born in Oakland, CA on February 6, 1926, the only son of the late James and Winifred E. Turney Crabtree. He had resided in Bridgewater for 43 years before moving to Whitehouse Station five years ago. Mr. Crabtree was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken receiving a master's degree in Engineering. He had been the chief utility engineer at Rutgers University in New Brunswick for 25 years retiring in 1994. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean Dedrick Crabtree, who died on December 11, 1998. Mr. Crabtree is survived by two sons, James E. Crabtree and his wife, Donna, of Whitehouse Station and John P. Crabtree and his wife, Brenda, of Wyoming, NY; three grandchildren, Taylor A., Evan J. and Liam A. Crabtree; and by a step granddaughter, Kate Sergel. Private services were held under the direction of the Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster. She was a lifelong resident of Oradell who retired to Forked River 20 years ago. Her passions were horseback riding, antiquing, bowling, dancing, swimming, traveling and playing cards. Oh how she loved to entertain! Marylou was predeceased by her husband Alfred "Big Al" Carloni in 2012 and her brother Walter Sittig. She is survived by her son and his wife, James P. and Mary Beth Carloni, Farmingdale, N.J. and her daughter and her husband, Laurie and Thomas Predmore, Austin, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Meehan. Marylou was the loving grandmother of Ashley and Tyler Carloni and Faith Predmore. Charles, Donald D. - 67, Toms River  
Donald D. Charles AGE: 67 • Toms River Donald D. Charles 67 of Toms River passed away Friday, June 26, 2015. Donald worked as a terminal manager with Central Motor Line in Newark. He was a member of UAW, Local 1992. He recently worked at the Ocean County Chapter of The Arc, and was a member of the American Legion. Donald was a proud veteran of the US Navy having served in Vietnam. Born in Newark, he lived in Irvington and Fairfield, moving to Toms River in 1980. Donald is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patricia Dinter Charles; daughter, Donnette; two brothers, Robert and his wife Nancy, Thomas and his wife Jean; sister Nancy Santos and her husband Tony; two sisters in law, Jerri White and her husband Stan, Laurie Dinter; and 12 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A funeral service will be offered 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home followed by burial with military honors at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
