Chu, John N. - Brick  
John N. Chu AGE: 87 • Brick John N. Chu, 87 years old, a 29 year resident of Lions Head South in Brick, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015. Beloved by his family, he is survived by Jean, his wife of 59 years; his son, Jon Jay Chu (Victoria); daughter, Cynthia Chu; grandchildren, Leyla Babaoglu, Jessica Chu, Deniz Babaoglu and Christopher Chu; brother, Robert Chu (Mary); sister, Mabel Wong; brother, Arnold Chu (Stella); sister-in-law, Elaine Chu, and brother-in-law, Terry Chin. He was predeceased by his parents, Ling and Lee She Chu; his brother, Raymond Chu; his sister, Rose Chin; his brother-in-law, Tony Wong, and his son-in-law Gokalp Babaoglu. Mr. Chu was born and raised in Manhattan, NY. He attended one of NY's premier magnet schools for science, Stuyvesant High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from New York University. He was a U.S. veteran, having served honorably as a technical specialist in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Before retirement, Mr. Chu was a licensed Professional Engineer and worked for the U.S. federal government at Picatinny Arsenal in NJ. His family will greatly miss his independent spirit, mental acuity, and un-abiding love and support. Private services will be held. The family will receive condolences at a later date. Contributions in his memory may be made to Planned Parenthood or a local food bank of your choice.

Catherine "Kay" Cecere AGE: 88 • Monroe Twp. Catherine "Kay" (Morelli) Cecere, 88 of Monroe Twp. died Thursday September 3rd at Centrastate Medical Center, Freehold. Born in the Bronx, NY, Mrs. Cecere moved to Monroe Twp. in 1953 and the Clearbrook community in 1995. Mrs. Cecere was past president of the St. James Columbiettes. She was a member of the Catholic Society and the Italian-American Club, both of Clearbrook and the Jamesburg Senior Citizens. She also was a volunteer for the disabled veterans at the Jamesburg Elks since 1995. Mrs. Cecere is predeceased by her husband Michael in 1981, her son Michael in 1993, her daughter Marie in 2008, her sister Elvira Ridgway and her brothers Peter, Louis and Anthony Morelli. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Christine and Dr. Mark Brabston of Monroe Twp., her son Joseph of San Francisco, CA, her two sisters Frances Cuttrone of Monroe Twp. and Marie Roccisano of Old Bridge, her three grandchildren Mark Brabston, Rose Marie Cecere and Danielle Kennedy and her husband William and two great grandchildren Courtney Lee and Bryan M. Ferriola. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday September 5th at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg followed by a 10 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. James RC Church, Jamesburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Crawley, Margaret H. - Wall  
Margaret H. Crawley AGE: 95 • Wall Margaret Hannon Crawley, 95, of Wall, NJ, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Margaret, better known as Peggy, was born in New York City and raised in Montclair. She graduated from Montclair High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in English at St. Lawrence University. She married Francis Thomas "Bill" Crawley in 1948 and raised their family in Montclair. She worked in the administrative offices of Montclair High School and Montclair State. Later in life, she earned a Master's Degree in English at Montclair State College. After retiring, Peggy & Bill moved down to the NJ Shore. Her passion in life was reading and she loved singing in the choir at St. Cassian Church in Montclair and was a member of the Orotorio Society of NJ. Most of all, Peggy loved spending time with her family. Peggy is predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Francis Thomas Crawley in 2001, her brother John Hannon, and her sister Jean Martin. She is survived by her children, Francis T. Crawley, Jr. and his wife Karen of Sea Girt, NJ; Martha L. Crawley of Alexandria, VA; Anne M. Crawley-Poomprakobsri and her husband Satorn of New York City, NY; Elizabeth R. Crawley of Howell, NJ; and John J. Crawley and his wife Kathryn of Alexandria, VA; 6 grandchildren, Syamruk, David and his wife Jacqueline, Peter and his wife Kathryn, Megan, Matthew, and Theodore; and 5 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Amelie, Isabelle, Daniel and Joan. She is also survived by her brother, James Hannon; her brother-in-law, Bernard Martin; her sister-in-law, Vivien Hannon, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street Manasquan, NJ is in charge of the arrangements. Marjorie Canfield AGE: 81 • Martinsville Marjorie Canfield, 81, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at NJ Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater. She was born and raised in Mt Vernon, NY to George and Helen Boyle. She formerly lived in North Plainfield before residing in Martinsville since 1965. Marjorie attended the College of New Rochelle in New York. She was a proud stay at home mother who loved raising and caring for her children and grandchildren. Family was her pride and joy. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. She is predeceased by her daughter Marjorie Canfield Dec who passed away in 1997. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 61 years, V. Robert Canfield, her children, Robert Canfield and his wife Kim, Daniel Canfield, Richard Canfield and his wife Donna, Carolyn Nasson and her husband Dean, and Patricia Conway and her husband Perry, thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a third on the way, and her dog Howard. Visitation will be 4-7PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Cramer, Joseph K. - 62, Mt. Ephraim  
Joseph K. Cramer AGE: 62 • Mt. Ephraim Joseph K. Cramer, 62, of Mt. Ephraim, passed away on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015. Joseph was born in Atlantic City and raised in Margate, Englewood and Deal. A graduate of Asbury Park High, Joseph earned his BS degree in Business Administration from Monmouth College. He worked in financial services for Dreyfus, Merrill Lynch and in account recovery for the State of New Jersey and Kennedy Health Care, Mt Laurel. Joseph was an accomplished tennis player, loved hiking and canoeing and enjoyed reading particularly about the Civil War. Joe was a kind and gentle man who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Richard S. and Marcella K. Cramer and a younger brother, Charles W. Cramer. He is survived by his siblings, Geoffrey S. (Lorett) Cramer of Manaquan, Cheryl (Fred) Briard of Howell, Richard S. (Melanie) Cramer Jr. of Fair Haven and Timothy M. (Tanya) Cramer of Ardmore, PA. Joseph is also survived by his eleven nieces and nephews, Kathryn, Elizabeth, Thomas, Anne, Alice, Marie, Rebecca, Abigail, Zachary as well as Jason and Lee (and their mother, Kim). He is also survived by two great-nephews, Christopher and Dylan Charles and three great-nieces, Penelope, Laura and Lucy. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan. There will be a gathering 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at the funeral home prior to our departure at 10 a.m. for the interment. Interment will be 11:30 a.m. at Arlington Cemetery, 1620 Cove Road, Pennsauken, NJ 08110. Castner, Joseph John - Toms River  
Joseph John Castner AGE: 68 • Joseph John Castner, 68, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at Suncoast Hospice. "It was his nature to blossom into song, as it is a tree's to leaf itself in April". Joseph was born on May 4, 1947 in St. Mary's Hospital, Orange, NJ. He was a graduate of South Plainfield High School. After graduation and during the Vietnam War, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and received his honorable discharge in April, 1968. Joe was a very talented musician and singer. Joseph was predeceased by his father, Joseph A. Castner; his stepfather, Tyler L Groseclose Jr.; his brother, Michael P. Castner; his brother-in-law, John C. Baran; his aunt, Catherine Horan; his uncle, George Nardone and his cousin, George Nardone Jr. He is survived by his mother, Maureen O'Flaherty Groseclose; his brother, William J. Castner (Diane H.) of Toms River; his sisters, Carole Castner Baran (John, deceased), of Charlottesville, VA and Diane M. Castner (Susan Burnett) of Howardsville, VA and his brother, Thomas Castner (Rayda) of LaMesa, CA and his aunt, Theresa O'Flaherty Nardone of Nutley, NJ, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. Tanya Cayne AGE: 85 • Jackson Twp. Tanya Cayne, 85, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Shore Meadows Care Center, Toms River, NJ. She was born in Russia, came to the United States in 1945, settled in Brooklyn, NY, and then came to reside in Jackson in the early 1960's. Tanya was a Technical Illustrator and Draftsperson in New York City for many years before working for the U.S Postal Service in Jackson, retiring in 2008. She also was an accomplished artist and photographer. Her love of animals was evidenced by her daily care of her 2 horses and her many cats. She was a member of St. Vladimir's Memorial Russian Orthodox Church in Jackson. Tanya taught Russian at St. Alexander Nevsky's School in Howell, NJ, as a volunteer for 10 years. She also taught in the Sunday School there. She was predeceased by her Parents, Ilary and Irina Ioileff. She is survived by her Sons, Alex Ioileff and Adrian Cayne, both of Jackson; and her Granddaughter, Stephanie Cayne, also of Jackson. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, from 1-3 PM at the GEORGE S. Florence M. Centanni AGE: 87 • Fords Florence M. Centanni, 87, of Fords, passed away on August 26, 2015 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was born in Newark and resided in Fords since 1965. Florence was a cosmetologist at Unisex Hair Salon, Menlo Park Mall, retiring in 1996. She was a communicant at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Florence enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards and visiting Atlantic City. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfonse in 1999, her son, Marc in 1994, and her brothers, John, Richard, Frank, Michael and William Page. Surviving is her daughter, Susan Nissenbaum and her husband David of Fords, her grandchildren, Alissa, Kristin, Eric, Ashley, Amanda, Marc, Marialaina and Adrianna, her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Joseph, Nathan, Melody, Parker, Brennan, Jayliana, and Valentina, a brother, Robert Page, and a daughter in law, Laureen Ellison.
