Antognoli, Geno - 88, Point Pleasant  
Geno Antognoli AGE: 88 • Point Pleasant Geno Antognoli, 88, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016. Mr. Antognoli was born in Archbald, Pa., to Alfred and Amelia Antognoli. He was raised in Pennsylvania and then lived in Spotswood, N.J. for many years. He moved to Point Pleasant in 1986 and recently moved to Lakewood. He served in the Navy during WWII, and went on to be a successful proprietor in the construction and electrical field. He enjoyed bowling, crabbing, traveling and vacationing with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and the most passionate fan at all of his grandchildren's sporting events. Mr. Antognoli was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Debra Antognoli, in 2013, and by his sister, Marie Snure. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Annabelle (nee Salamone). He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Gail and Tom Lavin, of Eatontown, Jean Ann and Jim Sierotko, of Milltown, and Geno, Jr. and Sandra Antognoli, of Bay Head. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Richard Sierotko, and his wife Michele, James Sierotko and his wife Suzanne, Geno Antognoli III, Nicholas Antognoli, and Abigail Antognoli, and he was the doting great-grandfather to Zach and Jacob Sierotko. Mr. Antognoli is also survived by many relatives and friends. Visitation will take place at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, on Saturday, July 30, 2016, from 2-6 PM, with a prayer service at 5 PM. Final committal, with military honors, will take place at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Antognoli's memory may be made to Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, at www.ccfa.org . Kathryn Ackerman AGE: 72 • East Brunswick Kathryn C Ackerman, age 72, of East Brunswick, passed away Friday July 22nd at St. Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Hackensack she would later move to East Brunswick. She was a stockroom manager at JC Penny for 30 years and would later work at Toys R' Us upon her retirement. Kathryn is predeceased by her parents Melvin and Mary Ackerman. Surviving is her sister and brother in law Marilyn and Kenneth Rodgers, her nephew and his wife Keith & Eileen Szelewicki, her niece and her husband Kristine & Antoine Johnson. She is also survived by her loving great nieces, Emily Szelewicki, Nya Johnson, Angelina Johnson, and Ivy Johnson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:15am at the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave South River NJ. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 3pm to 7pm. Allen, David E. - 82, Hudson, Fl  
David E. Allen AGE: 82 • Hudson, FL David E. Allen, of Hudson, FL went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 23, 2016. He was 82 years old. David was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Elaine Staso Allen and his brother Bruce Allen. He is survived by his children Judy Ann Kranenburg of OH, Jane Lynne Allen of FL and Kenneth David Allen of NJ and his siblings Shirley Hunnicutt of FL and Lee Allen of TX. He was a loving Grandpa to Jennifer and Matthew Fjare of IA, Jason and Amy Kranenburg of GA, Joel and Mary Kranenburg of OH, Julia Kranenburg of OH and Jackie Kranenburg of OH. David was also a beloved Great-Grandpa to seven great-grandchildren and Uncle David to many nieces and nephews. David was born in Hackensack, NJ. He was a star athlete at Hackensack High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He owned his own business, Industrial Screen Printing, in Ridgefield, NJ. He was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Hackensack, NJ where he was a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, and on the Board of Trustees. He lived and raised his family in Wyckoff, NJ until he retired and moved to Whiting, NJ. He became a full time Florida resident within the last few years and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in New Port Richey, Florida. He leaves his wife, Elaine Donnelly Allen to cherish his memory.

Born in Brooklyn, NY she lived there until moving to the Ocean County area in 1976. She was a self-employed Accountant and Financial Advisor for over 30 years. Antoinette was predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Anna (Strammiello) Ambrose. Surviving are her sons, Christopher Dalton of Maple Shade, NJ and Thomas (Stacey) Dalton of Brick, NJ. Her Brother Dominic Ambrose of Staten Island, NY, Sister Theresa Vanhise of Toms River, NJ, Grandchildren; Andrew Dalton, Amaya Dalton and Jessica (Tommy) Bia, Nieces Annmarie (Richard) Shenton and Doreen Nicholson, and Nephew John (Donna) Milhard. Viewing hours will be on Wednesday July 27th and Thursday July 28th from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00pm at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home 885 Mantoloking Rd. Brick, NJ 08723. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 29, 2016 at 9:30am at St. Justin's Church, Toms River, NJ followed by Entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, NJ. Anderson, Ann C. - 84, Old Bridge  
Ann C. Anderson AGE: 84 • Old Bridge Ann C. Scully Anderson, 84, of Old Bridge died Monday July 25, 2016 at home with her children by her side. Born in South Amboy she moved to Old Bridge in 1960. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High school and St. Michael's School of Nursing, Newark, New Jersey. Ann worked in Perth Amboy General Hospital and South Amboy Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, South Amboy. Ann will be forever remembered as a devoted wife, a cherished, loving mom and grandmother. She loved the beach, traveling and spending time with her family. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mae Fitzmorris Scully she is also predeceased by her husband, Edward A. Anderson who died March 13, 2016 and her brother, Joseph Scully. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Edward C. and Michelle Anderson of Freehold, Peggy and Joseph McInerney of Freehold, Christine and Michael Alexander of Freehold and Nell and Darren Tosetto of Scottsdale, Arizona; 11 grandchildren, Kevin, Sean, Jack, Danny, Michael, Erik, Catherine, Ryan, Sara Jane, Liam, Molly and her life-long best friend Patricia Burke. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 28, 2016 at 8:45am from The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, South Amboy. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Anness, Charles F. - 90, Monroe  
Charles F. Anness AGE: 90 • Monroe, formerly of Woodbridge Charles F. Anness passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at The Chelsea at Forsgate in Monroe Township. He was 90 years old. He was born and raised in Woodbridge and lived there until retiring to Bradenton, Florida in 1992. He then moved to Monroe Township in 2003. Mr. Anness was a World War II veteran of the United States Army Air Force and was employed as facilities supervisor for Johnson & Johnson Corporation in New Brunswick for 15 years before retiring in 1988. He was a 50 year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge, belonged to Post 87, American Legion in Woodbridge; and enjoyed spending his spare time woodworking. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Gere Anness, in 2013. Surviving are his children, Carol Lange and her husband, Charles, of Jamesburg, Nancy Vitello and her husband, Daniel, of Howell and Kenneth Anness and his wife, Janet, of Westfield; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 28, 2016 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge, 600 Rahway Avenue, Woodbridge. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Anton, Donald G. - 71, Formerly Of Long Branch, Nj  
Donald G. Anton AGE: 71 • formerly of Long Branch, NJ Donald G. Anton, 71, formerly of Long Branch, NJ, passed away after a courageous battle with Cancer and MRSA on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, NY, surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born, February 11, 1945 in Hazard's Hospital, Long Branch, NJ. He graduated from Long Branch High School and served in the US ARMY from 1964 till his honorable discharge in 1967. Following his ARMY service, Donald was a mailman in both New Jersey and Florida before retiring as a Railroad Conductor from the Earl Naval Base in New Jersey. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Elizabeth (Granit) Anton, a brother Julius Anton, and his sister, Patricia Ann (Anton) Weinkofsky. Donald is survived by his wife April (Winston) Anton of Morley. by his children: Sandra Lancaster of Fort Myers, FL; Stephanie Blunt and husband Richard of Jackson, NJ; Jacqueline Anton-Reynolds and husband Cory of Renssalaer Falls; a brother James B. Anton and his wife, Anna of Shark River Hills, NJ, and many grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Donald enjoyed golf, he was an avid Jets Fan and had an amazing sense of humor. He is a renowned cook, known for his softball size meatballs, and if Donald wasn't cooking, he was going above and beyond to help someone in need. Funeral services for Donald G. Anton were held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 4:00 PM at the O'Leary Funeral Home, Canton, NY. Burial followed in the Morley Cemetery, Morley, NY. Nimfa L. Apanel AGE: 96 • Warren, MI Nimfa L. Apanel, 96, lately of Warren, MI passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 12, 2016 at Sun Valley Senior Living Center, Troy, MI. She is survived by Gloria (Nobile) Hope, sister, of Interlaken, NJ; Nimfa (Apanel) Szarka, daughter, of Toms River, NJ; Barbara (Apanel) Ekin, daughter & John Ekin, son-in-law, of Royal Oak, MI; Stephen Apanel, son, and his wife Penny of Whitehall, PA. Nimfa also leaves 5 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews in Michigan, Florida, Texas, Hawaii and New Jersey. Nimfa was preceded in death by Stephen, her husband of 57 years, in 2000. As requested Nimfa and Stephen's cremated remains will be buried at sea off Sandy Hook, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Louise de Marillac Church, Warren, MI or the American Heart Association.
