Baskay, Gordon J. - 68, Edison  
Gordon J. Baskay AGE: 68 • Edison Gordon J. Baskay, 68, of Edison died Thursday at JFK Hospice in Edison. Born in Perth Amboy, he was a lifelong resident of Edison. He was employed by Smith-Kline in Piscataway for 25 years before retiring in 1999. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and was the recipient of a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was predeceased by his parents, Wanda (Kwitkowski) and John Baskay. He is survived by his son, William J. Baskay of Tabernacle, NJ; two sisters, Donna Baskay of Edison and Wanda Allen of PA; his former wife, Bonita Baskay of Port Reading and also his nephews and cousins. Funeral services will take place Monday at the Rumpf Funeral Home, 21 Locust Street, Carteret, NJ. We will meet at 8:30 AM at the Funeral Home and begin leaving at 9:00 AM for a 9:30 AM Mass at St. Joseph RC Church, Carteret. Interment will be at St. Michael's Cemetery, Fords. Visitation will be Sunday 2 to 5 PM.

Brausam, Felix - 84, Berkeley Township  
Felix Brausam AGE: 84 • Berkeley Township Felix, known by his family affectionately as "The Chief", Brausam, 84, of the Silver Ridge Park West section of Berkeley Township died on December 20, 2014 at home. Born in Yugoslavia he was put in a concentration camp as a teenager and managed to escape with his family to Austria and made it to America in 1952. He felt an obligation to his new Country and joined the National Guard and was then drafted into the US Army. He worked for Toms River Chemical as an Operator and later for the Toms River School System. After retiring he and his wife Honey enjoyed many winters in Boynton Beach, Fla. Felix continued to travel after Honey's passing with his son Erwen and close friends to many parts of the world. Predeceased by his beloved wife Johanna "Honey" nee Haintz. He is survived by his 2 sons; Joseph and his wife Patricia of Bayville, NJ and Erwen of Toms River, NJ. 2 grandchildren Joseph and Kimberly and his trusted companion Scout. Services are private and under the direction of The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St Catherine Blvd Toms River, NJ. The family would like to thank all who helped at Holiday Care Center and Van Dyke Hospice especially Ben his personal caretaker. Biermann, Donald - 89, Scotch Plains  
Donald Biermann AGE: 89 • Scotch Plains Donald Theodore Kinn Biermann, 89, died Tuesday (December 23, 2014) at his home in Scotch Plains. Born in Wyoming, PA, he lived in Scotch Plains for almost 60 years. He also summered in Ocean Grove. Mr. Biermann served in the US Army Band & Bugle Corps as a trumpet player from 1949 to 1950 and after his discharge, began a long career with the test lab at Mack Truck, where he met his future wife, Catherine. After retiring from Mack, he drove for Corby's Laundry in Summit (which later became Morey LaRue). A lifelong antique car enthusiast, he was a member of the Model A Ford Clubs of NJ and America. He was also an avid dancer and member of the Y-Squares and the Harmony Square Dance Club. Music was his passion and he spend many hours filling the house with music playing the piano and ukulele. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine, who died in 2006 and is survived by his son, David and his sister, Elizabeth Collis. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, on Sunday, December 28th from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Monday at 11 AM with entombment following at St. Gertrude Cemetery. Gerardo L. "Jerry" Bibbo AGE: 73 • Wall Township Gerardo L. "Jerry" Bibbo, 73, of Wall, NJ died Monday, December 22, 2014 at Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, NJ. Born in Benevento, Italy, Jerry lived in Union County, NJ and moved to Monmouth County in 1985. Gerardo served in the US Army 2nd Armor Division. Jerry was loved by so many and known for his witty personality and great cooking. He made a living for 30 plus years in the New York garment center as an apparel manufacturer. He was a member of the Atlantic Club in Manasquan for 30 years. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Ermanno and Josephine Bibbo, and his brother Salvatore Bibbo. Surviving is his beloved wife of 18 years; Mary A. Bibbo, 2 sons; Gregory Bibbo of Plainfield, IL, Ermanno Bibbo and his wife Shea of Branchburg, NJ, 3 grandchildren; Ryan, Ezekiel, and Maria. He also leaves 3 brothers; Tony Bibbo, Frank Bibbo, Michael Bibbo and 2 sisters; Maria Ricci, Philomena DelleDonne and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ann Brennan Toms River Ann Brennan of Toms River died on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Iselin resident before moving to Toms River 20 years ago. Ann was a Registered Nurse, she had also held education and administrative positions. She was employed by The Robert Wood Johnson Medical School before her retirement. She was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Muhlenberg School of Nursing and Seton Hall University, BSN, MA. She had been a communicant of St. Cecelia's RC Church in Iselin. Ann was predeceased by her parents Francis and Anna (Handel) Brennan; and a nephew Raymond Boyle. Surviving are her sister Frances Boyle of Edison; five nephews Francis Boyle of Staten Island NY, Brian Boyle of Plainfield, Matthew Boyle of Edison Timothy Boyle and his wife Kim of Manalapan, and Mark Boyle of Edison; a niece Mary Boyle of Manville and several great nieces and nephews. John R. Buchner AGE: 65 • Whiting John R. Buchner, of Whiting, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a Master Slater and Roofer for many years for various companies throughout North Jersey until he retired in 1999. He served in U.S. Army during Vietnam War (1968-1969). Born in Orange, he resided in Whiting for 9 years and was formerly of South Orange. Beloved husband of Beverly Brady Buchner of 44 years. Devoted father of John Brady, Lori Wallace and her husband Robert, Kelly Buchner, Deidrianne Agosto and her husband Miguel. Dear brother of Rosalinda Graziano, Robert Buchner, and the late Lawrence Buchner. Loving grandfather of Cassandra, Nicholas, Dante, Victoria, Robert, Adrianna, Devin, and Danilynn. Carmela Buttacavoli AGE: 89 • Lakewood Carmela Buttacavoli, age 89 of Lakewood, NJ passed away December 21, 2014 at Meridian Nursing and Rehab in Brick. Carmela was born in Jersey City to Peter and Mary Amodio on December 18, 1925. She lived in Brick and Lakewood for most of her life. During her career, Carmela worked for the Marist high school cafeteria in Bayonne. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. Carmela is preceded in death by her husband the late Joseph Buttacavoli in 1998. She is survived by her son, Dr. Joseph and his wife Mary of Brick; by her brother, Louis Amodio of Toms River; by her grandchildren and their spouses, Dr. Marc Buttacavoli (Marybeth), Jonna Meyers (Mike), Joseph Buttacavoli (Danielle), Dorian Fennen (Brian), Dominick Gigante and Tiffany Gigante; six great grandchildren, Ava, Emma, Grace, Anna, Isabella and Donovan. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong resident of Ewing. Gloria was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and Trenton Junior College. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Ewing. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by those who loved her. It would be impossible to describe in words her limitless creativity.
