Patricia Hurst MacCrabie Carlson AGE: 75 • Forked River Patricia Hurst MacCrabie Carlson ,75 of Forked River, Lacey Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 after a battle of over a year with stage 4 cancer. Her loving husband was by her side. Patricia was born and raised in Binghamton, New York and moved to New Jersey in 1960. She worked at RCA Space Center in Hightstown for 15 years. Part of those years was in Human Resources and then on a lecture tour around the country introducing a quality control program RCA had introduced. In 1975 she joined the HR department at Educational Testing Service in Princeton, N.J. where she met and married Al in 1980. She served as Director of Compensation at ETS and retired from there in 1989. Pat and Al enjoyed many years sailing on Barnegat Bay and then large ship cruising. Pat was predeceased by her father, Roger Hurst, mother, Agnes Hurst, and her eldest sister, Marilyn House, of Hallstead, Pa. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Alfred B. Carlson; two stepdaughters, Laura Bruce Carlson and Sybil Ann Chahbandour, along with her husband Michael and their son David Bruce; her sister Marlene Tallo and her husband James of Binghamton, NY; her brother-in-law Gerald House of Hallstead, PA and several loved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Layton's Home for Funerals, 250 West Lacey Road, Forked River on Sunday from 1 pm until the funeral service at 4:30 p.m. Her burial will be at 11:00 on Monday at Rocky Hill Cemetery in Rocky Hill, N.J.
