Anthony G. Rescigno, Sr. AGE: 82 • Oceanport Anthony G. Rescigno, Sr. age 82 of Oceanport, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. Mr. Rescigno was born in Bronx, NY and had lived in Long Branch before moving to Oceanport in 1971. He was a retired member of Monmouth County Carpenters Local 2250. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Rescigno and Virginia Caso Rescigno, his brothers and sisters, Joseph and John Rescigno, Gloria Rescigno, and Katherine Beig. He is survived by his former wife, Carol Thomas; his children and their spouses: Colleen and Martin Middough, Oceanport; Anthony and Kerry Rescigno, Mark and Laura Rescigno, Monmouth Beach; John Rescigno, Oceanport; Jeffrey and Brenda Rescigno, Sedona, AZ. He is survived by 11 grandchildren: Brittany, Chas, Alena, Sarah, Jack, Carol, Brenna, Michael, Daniel, Olivia and Christian; his sisters and brother; Josephine Paglia, Anna Strollo, Mary Rescigno, Virginia Herr, Carol Terracina, George Rescigno and Elizabeth Damiano. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 25, from 6:00-9:00pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue (corner of Third Avenue), Long Branch. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 10:00am at the Star of the Sea Church in Long Branch. Inninchement will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. Donald L. Rickert AGE: 86 • Formerly Of Middlesex Donald L. Rickert, 86, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his residence in Sunrise Assisted Living in Jackson. Born in Valley View, PA to his late parents Ervinand Julia (Havelock) Rickert, Donaldlived in Shamokin, PA and was a resident of Middlesex from 1957 until settling in Jackson in 2008. A proud Veteran, Donald was honorably discharged from the United States Army after faithfully serving his country following WWII. After many years at General Motors in Linden, Donald retired in 1990 as an Inspector on the Assembly Line. He was a former communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish and was a lifelong member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2290 in Manville. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Thomas and by his six siblings. Donald is survived by his loving family; his wife of 63 years, Marie (Gosk) Rickert, son Carl Rickert and his wife Bonnie of Toms River and his daughter Pamela Cooke and her husband Alan of Oviedo, FL. He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law Fran Muldoon-Rickert of Bridgewater and his five adored grandchildren; Kevin, Christopher, Ana, Brian and Sarah. Visitation will take place in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 8:15 am until 8:45 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be heldon Saturday, April 26, 2014 beginning at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex. Committal prayers will be held in the chapel of Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Donald I. Satterfield AGE: 80 • Cresco, PA, formerly of Point Pleasant Donald I. Satterfield, 80, left us Monday evening, March 10, 2014, at Palmerton Hospital PA surrounded by his loving family. Born Aug. 18, 1933, in Johnstown, PA, the son of the late William D. and Susanna (Shirey)Satterfield. A graduate of Dale High School, Donald served the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, stationed in Fort Monmouth, NJ. He remained in New Jersey and resided in Spring Lake Heights and Point Pleasant, where he was president and co-owner of Four Point Refrigeration Co. until 1984. He retired to his vacation residence in the Snow Hills Falls community of Cresco, PA in 1989. There, he started Don Satterfield Home Improvements Co., retiring again in 2011. He was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manasquan, NJ, Canadensis United Methodist Church PA, the International Lions Club of Barrett Township and Point Pleasant, NJ, American Legion and VFW. Surviving to cherish his memories are his wife of 24 years, Sophie (Losleben) Satterfield of Cresco; three sons, Donald W. of Belmar, Patrick S. of Red Bank, and Dennis J. and his wife, Patrice of Point Pleasant; two stepdaughters, Anna Brown her husband, Luvaghn of Hartsdale, NY and Dorothy Dybisz and her husband, Kenneth of East Chester, NY; seven grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; three step grandchildren; and a brother, David J. of College Park, MD. There will be a memorial service at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26 at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6 Osborne Ave., Manasquan, NJ with the Rev. Mary Farnham officiating. Donald's remains were donated to science through the Humanity Gifts Registry program of Philadelphia.
