Albertina "Bettina" Puleio

AGE: 87 • New Brunswick

Albertina "Bettina" Puleio passed away peacefully on December 5, 2012 at the McCarrick Care Center in Somerset, surrounded by her loving cousins. She was 87. Born in San Pier Niceto, Italy on May 1, 1925 to the late Natale and Anna (Donia) Puleio, she was encouraged to immigrate to the U.S. by her aunt and uncle, Josephine and Rosario Maimone. Bettina came to the U.S. in 1954 and settled in New Brunswick where she resided until 2005 when she became a resident of McCarrick Care Center. Miss Puleio had been employed by Permacel Tape until her retirement in 1987. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mt. Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick.

Surviving are her cousin Antoinette Marchetta of New Brunswick and Antoinette's children, Anthony J. Marchetta and his wife Carole of Califon, Russell Marchetta and his wife, Deborah of Morganville, Frances Brennan and her husband Douglas of Newtown, Connecticut and Josephine Marchetta of New Brunswick.

Funeral services will be 8:15 a.m. Monday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. only.
