Alfred Kish "Uncle", 82, of Highland Park, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he has lived in Highland Park for most of his life.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Karoly and Emerencia Baranyai Kish and a sister, Yolanda "Jenny" Tomori and a brother, Charles J. Kish Sr. He is survived by his three nephews, Steven Joseph Kish Sr. and his wife, Mary Ellen of North Carolina and their children, Steven, Jr., Abby and Emercencia; Charles John Kish, Jr. and his wife, Rosemary of Piscataway and their children, Kelly Ann and Kathryn Mary; John Tomori and his daughter, Cindy.
"Uncle" had worked as a machinist for John Manville in North Brunswick for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the HAAC of New Brunswick, the Metuchen YMCA, Red Fox Gun Club and a communicant at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Highland Park. "Uncle" enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by many people.
Relatives and friends may call from 3-6 pm Sunday and from 10-11 am Monday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:30 am. Monday at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church in Highland Park. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick (www.jkfuneralhome.com
