Alice Constance "Connie" Lenox

Alice Constance "Connie" Lenox, 88, of Freehold, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at CentraState Medical Center surrounded by love and prayers. Connie was a warm, loving, kind soul that brightened any room she entered. Her wonderful, mischievous giggle made everyone she came in contact with smile and fall in love with her. She was born in Bournemouth, England and moved to the States after falling in love during the war with an American. They had a son & a daughter together but the union didn't last. Connie met and married Roy E. Lenox and together they had one daughter. She joined BOAC, British Overseas Airways Corporation, in 1952 and stayed for 36 years. At the time of her retirement, Connie's official title was Supervisor of All Communications for British Airways North America. She was a member of the DBE, Daughters of the British Empire, and currently part of the Cornwall Chapter.

She is survived by her son, Laurie Whitlark; her daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Richard Porcelli; her daughter and son-in-law, Alison & Christopher Normand and her beloved Chihuahua, Max. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die."

All services will be at the First Assembly of God, 272 Jackson Mills Rd, Freehold Township, NJ 07728. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
