Assunta Bonardi, 96, of Bayville, NJ, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Tallwoods Care Center in Bayville, NJ. She was born in Jersey City, NJ, and lived in North Bergen before moving to Bayville in 1963. She was a volunteer of Deborah Heart & Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ, and was a member of the Italian American Club. The most important thing to Assunta was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed for the joy she bought to them every day.
Mrs. Bonardi was predeceased by her husband, Walter, and her son, James. She is survived by her two sons, Gerard Bonardi and his wife Georgiana of Lavallette, and Thomas Bonardi and his wife Dorothy of Bayville; and her daughter-in-law, Maryann Bonardi of Fort Lee. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jami, Jimmy, Alisa, Jillian, Deanne, Kacey and Kristi; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Eric, Nicholas, Ava, Ashley, Joseph, Cole, Matthew, Mia, Jordan, Jason, Joshua, Jimmy, and Jake.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 17th, from 9-10:30am at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 17th, at 11am at St. Barnabas Church in Bayville, NJ. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to a
