Charles "Charlie" DeCarolis

Upper Saddle River

Charles "Charlie" DeCarolis, of Upper Saddle River, NJ, formerly of Emerson, NJ, loving husband and devoted father, departed this world on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 6:15 am. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucy Orrico-DeCarolis; his dear son, Scott; sisters, Josephine Avella, Rose Card, and Irene Popkin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Before his semi-retirement in 2007, Charlie enjoyed a career as a contractor, builder, and master craftsman. He also spent 2 years in the military, 1 of which was serving his country in Korea.

Subsequently, much of his time was applied overseeing and managing the complex of Church of The Assumption in Emerson, NJ. We believe that was the most pleasant and rewarding period of his career! We will miss our dear "Charlie," but know he is now truly enjoying his well-earned rest and reward in his eternal home, with our Lord Jesus Christ.

The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9PM. The Funeral Liturgy celebrating Charlie's life and faith will be held at St. Gabriel the Archangel R.C. Church, Saddle River, NJ on Friday at 10:30AM. Committal to follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
