AGE: 78 • Valley, Ala.

David Eugene Turner, 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at home in Valley, Alabama. Born in Atlantic Highlands, NJ he was the oldest son of Stella and William Turner. He was an avid basketball, baseball, and football player at Atlantic Highlands High School, Roxy Finn was his coach. He proudly served in the United States Army. He worked at Midland Glass, and Builders General, before retiring to Alabma. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing with his brothers, Joe and Bob. He was a wonderful and loving father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.

He is survived by his daughter, Roxanne Kwiecinski; sons, David Turner, Frank Cook, Bruce Cook; brothers, Joe Turner and Bob Turner; sisters, Rhoda Smith & Suzi Turner, and 11 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his mother, Stella; brother, Steven, sister, Iris; and daughter, Michelle Cook Keane.

Memorial Services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, April 13 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 6415 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Lanett, AL 36863.
