After a lifetime of joy and sadness, simchas and sorrows, Doris Eiseman Auerbach passed away peacefully, just after noon on Friday, April 19th. She was engulfed in love and comfort from her family and friends as she gently and quietly left.
Doris was the widow of Bernard (Buddy) Auerbach, mother of Marilyn (Micki) Wechsler, Bethlehem, PA, Joel Auerbach and wife Cathy, Freehold, NJ, grandmother of Scott and Jill Homiak, Perkasie PA, and Lindsay Auerbach, Freehold, NJ and great- grandmother of Benjamin Trauger, Perkasie, PA. She will continue to be lovingly remembered by life-long friends, several nieces, nephews, cousins and her brother Larry Eiseman. Doris was also predeceased by her identical twin, Irma Goldfarb, brothers, Charles and Harry Eiseman and parents, Eva and George Eiseman.
Doris and her husband were founding members of Congregation Ahavat Shalom in Lakewood, NJ and she played an active role as a member of sisterhood. She was a working mom and homemaker. Doris devoted numerous hours volunteering at Veteran's Hospitals in NJ and FL and she was a lifetime member of Hadassah. She loved travelling and visited many special places around the world with her husband of 61 years.
A graveside service honoring Doris will be held on Monday, April 22nd at 11:00 AM at Congregation B'nai Israel Memorial Park on Whitty Road in Toms River, NJ.
