Dorothy Sliva, formerly of Edison, died Friday Nov. 30th at Berkley Heights Nursing and Rehab Center in Berkley Heights. She was 87 years old. Born in Newark she lived in Maplewood and Edison for many years. Mrs. Sliva was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Matthews R.C. Church in Edison and past president of the Rosary Society.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Edward B. Sliva in 1991, and a brother Robert MacGuire. Surviving are a son Raymond E. and wife Joanne Sliva of Union; three daughters Geraldine and husband Peter Irkovich of New Cumberland, Pa., Marilyn Sliva of Monroe Township and Mary Ann Kiessling of Oaklyn, N.J. Also survivingg are her grandchildren Kimberly Remeta, Matthew Kresge, Justin, Drew and Caroline Kiessling.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 6th at 11 a.m. from Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave. in Edison. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, N.J. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wed., Dec. 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
