Edward J. Wohlrab, 81, of Brick formerly of Linden, entered into eternal rest on Saturday March 2, 2013 in Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Edward was born and raised in Jersey City. He lived in Bayonne before moving to Linden in 1973 where he lived before moving to Brick in 2011. Ed was a Social Worker for the County of Union in the One Stop Career Center for many years before he retired in 2012. Previously he worked for Palmolive/Colgate in Jersey City as a machine operator from 1948 till retiring 1985. Ed was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force serving his country form 1952-1956. Ed was a commissioner with the Linden Housing Authority and an Elected Committee Man for the City of Linden. He was an Assistant Sergeant-At-Arms with the New Jersey Assembly and then with the Senate since 1995 and a Legislative Aide for Senator Nicholas Scutari and the late Joseph Saliga.

Edward is predeceased by his brother Joseph and his son Vincent. He is survived by his wife Angelina (Mack) Wohlrab, his children John and his wife Stephanie of Brick, Scott and his wife Laura of Greenville, SC and Lisa Trautman of Point Pleasant Beach; brother in-law of Jan Tansey. Cherished grandfather of Brian, Colin, Ashley, Alyssa, Robert, Steven, Anthony, Danielle, Sarah, Rhianor and Wyatt.

Relatives and friends are in invited to attend the funeral on Thursday March 7, 2013 at 9 a.m. from the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home 301 E. Blancke Street Linden. The Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Elizabeth R.C. Church Linden at 10 a.m. Entombment Rosedale Memorial Park Linden.
