Frances Marie Ziemba

Frances Marie Ziemba passed away on May 11, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She was born to her parents Alta and Gerald Everman on December 25, 1946 in Chariton, Iowa. Frances spent most of her childhood as a farm girl outside of the small railroad town of Allerton, Iowa. Frances graduated High School from the Allerton, Cilo and Lineville (ACL) school district in 1965. During her teenage years Frances was crowned Conservation Queen and Dairy Princess for Wayne County. Frances received a degree from Centerville Junior College in 1968, from the University of Central Missouri in 1970, and her Masters from Jersey City State in 1993. Frances also attended the Confratute Program at the University of Connecticut in 1986. Frances was a teacher for the Little Egg Harbor Board of Education. She taught third grade, gifted and talented classes, fifth grade and coached basketball at the Frog Pond School. Frances was the Teacher of the Year for her school in 1987-1988 school years. Frances was a member of the Ocean County Math League, Ocean County Reading Counsel, LEHTA, NJEA, NEA and a lifetime member of the Little Egg Harbor PTA. "Success in teaching has nothing to do with what you gain or accomplish for yourself; its what you do for the students that matters".
Frances is survived by husband John, whom she married on May 26, 1968 in Cilo, Iowa. They had three children Lawrence, Stacy and Roberta. Five grandchildren Margaret, Stanley, Jeanette, August and Waverly. Frances has two brothers; Gary Everman of Allerton, IA, Stewart Everman of Corydon, IA and one sister Lois Hays of Plano, IA.
A Viewing will be held on Tuesday May 14, 2013 from 2-4 and again from 6 until the time of the Service at 7:30 at the Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 335 South Main Street, Barnegat, NJ 08005. Cremation will follow and be private.
