Gino J. DiLorenzo, 67, of Bayville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in Manhattan, NY. He was born on August 9, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY, where he grew up. In 1978 Gino moved to Staten Island, NY before ultimately settling in Bayville in 2002. He had worked as a supervisor for the NYC Transit Department before retiring. He was also a proud veteran of the US Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War.

He was predeceased by his parents, Gino and Aurora (Cresci) DiLorenzo. Gino is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Maria (Catino) DiLorenzo; his loving children, Paisley Smith and her husband Craig of Millstone, Gene DiLorenzo of Bayville; his sister, Adrianne Carrera of Brooklyn, NY; his dear sister-in-law, Karen Catino and her husband Frank Amabile of Union Beach, along with his cherished granddaughter, Katie Isabella Smith. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 4th from 2:30 to 4 & 7 to 9PM, Saturday, January 5th, Sunday, January 6th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM, and Monday, January 7th from 8:45 to 9:30 AM, at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Rt. 35 N, Hazlet. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, January 7th at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel, 10:00AM.
