Glenn D. Sayre

Glenn D. Sayre passed away peacefully on December 18, 2012 at the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank with his family by his side. Glenn was born in Newton, Kansas on January 19, 1933. He graduated in 1950 from East High School in Wichita, KS. After graduating from High School he served in the Korean War. Upon leaving the service he attended Ohio State University and went to work full time for AT&T where he was employed until he retired as a District manager in Bedminster, NJ in 1989. He had always dreamed of owning his own business and had an interest in automobiles. Shortly after leaving AT&T he had the opportunity to became owner / operator of the Kennedy Mall Mobil Gas station located in Brick, NJ - which he owned and operated full time until 1997 when he decided to retire.

Glenn was the beloved husband to Carolyn; they were married for 59 wonderful years. He was also the father of Debbie. He was predeceased by his parents Glenn and Marie, his son Jack, and a brother Wilbur.

Viewing for Glenn will be on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 7-9 P.M. and Friday, December 28, 2012 from 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, 1735 Rt. 35 Middletown, New Jersey. The Internment will be held at the Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Monmouth County SPCA 260 Wall Street Eatontown, NJ 07724 and/or Deborah Heart & Lung Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015
