Harmon E. Bensco passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Centrastate Medical Center in Freehold. He was 72 years old. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Metuchen before moving to Manalapan 38 years ago. Mr. Bensco was employed as Maintenance Superintendent with Craig Road Realty in Manalapan for 20 years before his retirement. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Englishtown; a United States Army veteran; and belonged to Molly Pitcher Post 434, American Legion in Englishtown and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4374, Freehold.

Mr. Bensco was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Julius Bensco; a sister, Aurelia Coglione; and three brothers, Robert, Carlyle and Richard Bensco. He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Catherine La Rocca Bensco; three cherished godchildren, Sebastian, Vincent and Gabriella LaMorte; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will take place on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 436 Port Reading Ave., Port Reading. Entombment will be in Saint James Chapel Mausoleum in Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Centrastate Medical Center Foundation, 901 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728.
