Henry "Hank" A. Schauer

Henry "Hank" A. Schauer, 85, of Navesink, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014, at the Arnold Walter Nursing Home in Hazlet. He was born in Long Branch and lived in Thompson Falls, Montana before moving to Navesink in 2012.

Hank was a graduate of Monmouth College, Long Branch, a member of the Littoral Society and very active in their tag and release program, a member of Trout Unlimited, he lived to fish. He was also an endowment member of the N.R.A. He honorably served our country in the Marines during WWII. Hank retired as a Ft. Monmouth employee in their Nuclear Radiation Effects area after 30 years of service.

He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Adalaid Schauer. Hank is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Valerie Ann Schauer and his son, Henry L. Schauer.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Navesink. Interment will be private.
