Henry Jacob Hemlock "Hank", age 88 was born in Newark, NJ and raised in Hillside, NJ. Hank Hemlock was predeceased by his parents Martin and Alexandra Hemlock, brothers Martin and twin John, sister Antoinette, son Stephen as well as his sweet mother-in-law who he adored Dixie Lemire.
Hank is survived by his beloved wife of forty years, Lee Lemire Hemlock, his daughters Patricia McIntyre and her husband Bill, Kathleen Pucci and her husband Tom Sr., two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his darling niece Lynn Lemire Bryan and her husband Vernon, who was like a son to him, nephew Michael Lemire, Sr., also like a son, great niece Emily Lemire and great nephew Michael Lemire, Jr. and his sister-in-law Rita De Boey.
Hank retired 25 years ago after working as an Electrician for Ciba-Giegy in Summit, NJ for over 27 years. Hank served his country in WWII
. as a Naval Aviation Electrician aboard the battleship Nevada. Hank was a third degree Knight of Columbus, 50 year member of Hillside Council 3197.
Hank also leaves behind many close friends, including his dear friend Msgr. Brady at his beloved Saint Dominic's Church of Brick, NJ, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Hank loved his New York Yankees and Giants. He was a long time Giants season ticket holder and member of the infamous Ratpack tailgaters. Always one for a good time, he was well known for his delicious homemade Kahlua and was affectionately known to all as "Uncle Hank."
The family will receive relatives and friends, Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Hwy 88 Brick, NJ 08724. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered, 10:00 AM, Wednesday at the Parish of Saint Dominic's Church. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside, NJ.
