Jack Billy Armstrong, 88, of Shark River Hills, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at home. He had worked as a carpet installer for M.E. Sabasik, Point Pleasant until retiring. Mr. Armstrong was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in the Asiatic Pacific American Theater during World War II, earning a bronze star. Born in Hackensack, he lived in Shark River Hills for the last 60 years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Hilde in 1985 and by his son, Robert G. Armstrong in 2012. Surviving are his son, Jack W. Armstrong and his wife Christine of Jupiter, FL; his daughter-in-law, Cheryl Armstrong of Shark River Hills; his brother-in-law, George Wanniger of Port Charlotte, FL; 8 grandchildren, Jack, Jr., Erik, Jessica, Kristofer, Jordan, Taylor, Robert, Jr., and Connor and a great grandchild, Jayden.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 5:00 PM, with funeral services beginning at 7:30 PM at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove.
