James John Cusick, III

James John Cusick, III, 47, of Point Pleasant passed away on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Mr. Cusick was vice president of Industrial Welding Supply in Sayreville. Jim was a 1984 graduate of Wall High School. He was a member of GAWDA Gas and Welding Distribution Association and the AWS American Welding Society. He was a member and volunteered at the Point Pleasant Elks Lodge #1698 as well as the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1549. Jim loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Born in Point Pleasant, he lived in Wall before moving back to Point Pleasant in 1985.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gunter and Ruth Gammisch and by his paternal grandparents, James Sr., and Martha Cusick. Surviving are his loving wife of 14 years, Bernadette (Epple) Cusick; son, James John Cusick IV and his finance Ashley Oman of Danville, PA; daughter, Devin Ashleigh DeFalco of Point Pleasant; his parents, James Jr. and Linda Cusick of Point Pleasant; brother, Scott Cusick and his wife Michelle of Jackson; sister, Kelly Cusick Dropchinski and her husband Michael of Brielle; and sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Kevin O'Dea of Spring Lake. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles as well as many, many dear friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Visiting will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. The service will be held Tuesday evening at 8:45pm in the funeral home.
