James W. Dibblee

James W. Dibblee, 85, of Greenbriar I, in Brick passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Mr. Dibblee worked as an electrical supplier at Mohawk Electric in New York City for many years before retiring in 1990. He also worked a second job on the docks in NYC as a teamster. He was a US Navy
Veteran serving during WWII
from 1946-1947. He was on the Board of Directors and member of the Kiwanis of Greenbriar I and was a member of the VFW
in Lakewood. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he lived in Staten Island for a year before moving to Brick in 1986.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Helen Dibblee, by his 1st wife Jean Dibblee, a son James P. Dibblee and by all of his brothers and sisters. Surviving are his loving wife of 24 years Marie Dibblee; son Steven Dibblee of Richfield Springs, NY; daughters Kathleen Caroleo-Dvir and her husband Joseph of Brick, LaurieAnn Kohus and her husband Frank of Cincinnati, OH; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He also leaves his step-son Lawrence Greenberg and his wife Jeanette as well as a step daughter Linda Brac of Point Pleasant.
Visiting will be on Monday from 12-5pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday 11am at the Church of the Epiphany in Brick. Burial and Military Honors will follow at the NJ Veterans Cemetery, 1pm in Wrightstown. Donations may be made in his name to the
