Jean M. Rahm

Jean M. Rahm

AGE: 49 • Hazlet

Jean M. Rahm, 49, passed away at home on Friday, March 14, 2014 after fighting a terrible illness. She fought with all of her strength and anyone who knew her knew how strong she was. She was born Jean Van Fechtmann on December 4, 1964 in Red Bank and was the 6th child of Bob and Dolly Van Fechtmann. Her mother described her as an angel when she was born and she is with them now, along with special aunts, uncles and cousins. Jean was raised and lived her entire life in Hazlet. Jean worked as a landscaper with her husband, Frank, and their love was unique.

Jean is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, Frank Rahm; her daughter whom she adored, Ryann Rahm; her loving brothers and sister, Billy and his wife Carol, Bub and his wife Eileen, Peggy, John and his wife Jeanette, Thomas and his wife Stacey, and Edward; her father-in-law, Frank Rahm Sr.; her sister-in-law, Kathy Post and her husband Art and their son, Nick, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, who went above and beyond what they could do to help Jean. Her family made sure she was never alone and took shifts staying overnight. The hospital was overwhelmed by the amount of visitors, which included her family and friends, but that is no surprise to anyone that knew Jean. Each one will never get over her loss. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, March 16th from 4 to 8PM and Monday morning, March 17th from 8:15 to 9 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Rt. 35 N, Hazlet. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, March 17th, 9:30 AM, Holy Family R.C. Church, Union Beach. Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.
