John T. Lawler

John T. (Jack) Lawler of Flushing, Michigan, formerly of Lake Como, NJ, Age 78, died Friday, May 24, 2013. Jack was born March 26, 1935, to the late George and Catherine (Scanlon) Lawler. He married Alice Stringer on April 13, 1957. They just celebrated their 56th anniversary. A Graduate of Seton Hall University, Jack served as Treasurer of a firm producing electronic equipment for the military. With his wife he enjoyed breeding and showing dogs in the 80's and 90's. A resident of the Flushing-Clio area for three years, he remained a loyal NY Giants fan. Jack was a member of the parish of St. Charles and Helena in Clio where Fr. Bob McGraw officiated at his Mass of Christian burial. He was interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery. A navy veteran

Surviving are his wife, Alice; children, Mary Kate, John Henry "Sean," and Robert E. (Judy) Lawler; two grandchildren, Amanda (Tony) Jarema of Clio, and Nathan (Kristen) Chase of Washington Twp., Michigan, and three great grandchildren, Logan, Bailey and Brayden Jarema; his brother, William; sister-in-law, Joann; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, George.
