AGE: 92 • Wall Township

Lloyd L. Goss, Sr., 92 of Wall Township passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Laurelton Village Care Center, Brick, with his beloved family at his bedside.

Lloyd was born in and was a lifelong resident of Wall Township. He proudly served as a Wall Township police officer, badge # 1, retiring in 1961. Lloyd also served as a Corporal in the United States Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

Lloyd was a member of the Wall Township First Aid Squad, PBA 50, Elks, American Legion, V.F.W, and the Amvets.

Lloyd was predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth (nee Thompson) Goss, his daughter Helen Mae (Goss) Rowden in 1971 his lovely granddaughter Bobbie Jo Goss in 1978 and his dear grandson Mark J. Goss in 2009. Lloyd is survived by his sons, Lloyd L. Jr (Skip) of Neptune City, James V. ( Jimmy) of Wall Township with whom he lived, his daughters Patricia Wilcox of Wall, Jennie Trabucco of Brick and Nettie Bergh of Harrisburg, NC, his sister Aliene Allesi of Fort Lauderdale, Fl., his 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchild.

In keeping with Lloyd's wishes, a private committal of his remains alongside his late wife Elizabeth will take place at the NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown at the convenience of his family.
