AGE: 81 • Toms River
Lorraine Raslowsky, 81, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, in W. Palm Beach, Fla.
Lorraine was preceded by her loving husband, Joseph A. Raslowsky of 56 years. Born Dec. 14, 1931 in Bayonne, NJ, Lorraine graduated from Bayonne High. Lorraine was probably most known back then as one of the original "IBM Key Punch Girls" of New York City. Lorraine was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Lorraine is survived by her devoted sons, Ronald, Gregory, and David; 10 grandchildren, Ron J., Sheena Harper, Brandon, Macy, Amanda, Ryan, Jake, Alec, Austin, and Dayle; and 7 great-grandchildren. Born in Bayonne and then residing in Toms River, where she gave our family a wonderful and fulfilling childhood while supporting her husband at home and work during his 34 years as a New Jersey State Trooper.
Lorraine then moved to WPB Florida in 1985 where she retired with her loving husband. Being an outstanding Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, she always put everyone and everything before her own needs. She fought for and stood behind every one of us and was proud of the family she raised, a legacy we are all trying to pass on.
A memorial service will be held in Trenton, NJ at the New Jersey State Police Headquarters Memorial Garden, to be announced at a later date. There will also be a "Celebration of Life" service in South Beach, Fla. at a later date where Mom will be placed at rest with her loving husband at sea. RIP Mom We Love You and We hope you are "DANCING With The Stars."
As Mom loved all kinds of flowers, and treasured hearing from everyone in cards and letters, we respectfully request no flowers and those who wish to make a donation in Lorraine's name may choose to send donations to New Jersey Former Troopers Association, 1675 White Horse-Mercerville Road, Suite 103, Hamilton, NJ 08619 or the Hospices of Palm Beach, Fla.
