Margaret Lozak, 82, of Metuchen, NJ died Thursday, October 30, 2013 at the St. Joseph's Nursing Center in Woodbridge, NJ. Born on November 9, 1930 in Munhall, PA she then resided in Hazin Czechoslovakia until age 9. In 1939 as war broke out in Europe, her family narrowly escaped through Lettave France settling in Brooklyn, NY. She then moved to Jersey City, and then finally settling in Carteret, NJ and while assisting in the family grocery store business, she graduated high school in 1950. She married Ronald in 1951 and relocated to Houston TX with her husband in the US Air Force, ultimately settling in Metuchen NJ in 1953. Margaret's working career spanned working in the 1960's in Bamberger's Division of Macy's as Sales Manager and from 1970 to 1992. She then worked as the Director of Recreational Therapy at Roosevelt Hospital in Edison NJ. And finally as a volunteer at St. Joseph's Senior Home from 1992 to 2000 before retiring. Margaret mostly enjoyed being together with family and friends, especially times with her cherished grandsons.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald; her son Craig Sr. and his wife Cindy of Jamison PA; grandsons, Craig Jr. of North Wales, PA and Joseph of Glen Allen, VA, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5th at 9:45 am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue (Rt. 27) Metuchen followed by a 10:15 am Christian Funeral Mass in St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. Visitation will be on Monday, Nov. 4th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Final disposition will be private.
