AGE: 80 • Farmingdale

Neil A. Wilde (Pop Pop), of Farmingdale, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Imperial Care Center, Neptune. Neil grew up in Closter before moving to Union City, then to Deal for over 30 years. In 1961, Neil married the love of his life, Ruth Gallagher, and together they enjoyed 51 year of happiness. Pop Pop was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He loved spoiling his grandchildren. He will be forever remembered and missed by his family and many friends. Neil was a longtime member of the Deal First Aid Squad, holding the positions of Captain, President, Vice President and Trustee. He was very active with the Boy Scouts as a Scout Master for many years, and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

Neil is survived by his wife, Ruth Gallagher Wilde; his son, Robert and his wife Cynthia; his grandchildren, Ryan and Taylor; his nephews, Peter, Richard and his wife Treva, and Stephen and his wife Constanze; his nieces, Susan and her husband Barry, and Kathy and her husband Rex; great-nephews, Alex, Adam, Kevin, Jason, Steven, Troy, and Tom; great-niece, Christina; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Leon and his wife May.

The family would like to give special thanks to Imperial Care Center for their loving care.
