AGE: 93 •
Richard Anderson, 93, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014. He was born in Marshall, Minnesota to the late Delbert and Edith Anderson. He retired from Bell Labs in Holmdel as a mechanical engineer. Richard was an early member of the National Speleological Society, member of the Middletown Township School Board, and a life master at Bridge. He grew rhododendrons, and made his own beach plum jam.
His wife, Elaine Anderson, and two of his siblings, Helen and Cecil Anderson, predeceased him. Surviving are his two sons, Paul and his wife Janet of Princeton and Wayne Anderson and his wife Carl; his sister, Dorothy of Wisconsin; his 2 grandchildren, Sherri Swalinkavich and Stacy Lundberg; his four great-grandchildren, Kelli, Mekenzie, and Matthew Lundberg, and Sean Richard Anderson.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19 at the Red Bank Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Middletown.
