Robert "Bob" B. Fath, 89, of Forked River died Saturday October 19, 2013 at home with his family at his side. Born and raised in Staten Island, New York living there for 70 years.

Bob was in the US Navy in WWII, where he served on the USS Hudson in the Pacific. He was awarded a Purple Heart for his bravery. Bob worked in newspaper advertising for 40 years, after retiring Bob and Evelyn his wife of 60 years relocated to Forked River. Bob loved life, his family and his country. His passions include golf, astronomy, music, Ham Radio, fitness and wood carving to name a few. He was a wonderful husband, father, father in-law and grandfather.

Surviving is his wife Evelyn, a daughter Randi Krutzler and her husband Kenneth of Rockville Centre, New York and his three grandchildren Christopher, Kiley and Timothy.

A visitation will be held Wednesday 930 am to 10 30 am at Layton's Home For Funerals, Forked River. An 11 am funeral mass will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Pius X, Forked River, NJ. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
