Rose Testa, of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Rose was born Aug. 3, 1924 in Hoboken. As she grew older, she met her husband, Ralph and settled in Jersey City, where she raised her family. Later in life, she moved to Toms River then settled in Middletown where she moved into the Regal Point Assistant Living.There she met many wonderful friends. Rose was a member of the Catholic Daughters, the Rosary Society, and the Max a Million Colby in Toms River. She really loved going on trips to Atlantic City playing the slot machines.
Rose was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Christina Dellafave; her sisters, Maggie and Nancy; and brother, Joseph. She is the beloved wife of Ralph for 64 years. Rose is survived by her daughter, Ann (Andrew). She is the devoted grandmother of Danielle, Alexa, and Melissa. Also the loving sister of Anna, Eleanor, and Anthony.
Rose will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, 1735 Rte. 35, Middletown from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday morning, Nov. 24 at St. Mary's in Colts Neck. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Support Community.
