Rudolph Dahnke, 83, of Brick, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Born in Manhattan to the late Wilhelm & Bertha Dahnke, he was raised in Cliffside Park and his lived in Brick for 52 years. He was a United States Marine Corps
, WW II and Korea veteran and former member of the Marine Corps League, L.I., NY. Mr. Dahnke worked as a plumber for 50 years, and retired from Plumbers and Pipefitters, Local 9, Englishtown.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Kathryn "Katy" Ventura; and sister, Lottë Wriedt. Surviving are his beloved wife of 57 years, Frances Melillo Dahnke; daughter, Frances Dahnke-Ventura and her husband, Louis of Point Pleasant; son, William L. Dahnke of Brick; and granddaughter, Abigail Ventura.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 15 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.
