Sarah S. "Sally" Allen, of Port Republic, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of family and friends on Frida, Feb. 28, 2014. In June 1926, she was born in Tuckerton to Leon and Elevena Stiles and raised with two sisters and two brothers. At 19, she met and married her husband, Earl, of 58 years until his death in November 2003. Together they had three children and traveled extensively with the Army until his retirement in 1962. At that time, they settled in Pleasantville and then moved to Port Republic in 1987. She was a member of the New Gretna Presbyterian Church, the New Gretna Old Home Society, an auxiliary member of the Atlantic City Rescue Mission and VFW Post 10620, as well as serving as an active volunteer for the AtlantiCare Regional Hospital for over 30 years.

She is predeceased by her husband Edward "Earl" Allen; son, Leslie "Les" Allen and her daughter-in-law, Margaret Allen, as well as her parents and siblings. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Blake Allen of Rumney, New Hampshire and her daughter and son-in-law, Noreen and Ken Clark of Port Republic, and seven grandchildren, Whitney (Chris) Allen Bingham, Christopher Allen, Chip (Stacie) Allen, Charles (Marie) Allen, Eric (Kelci) Allen, Merritt (Michael) Tollison and Edward Clark. She is also survived by her ten beautiful great-grandchildren, Alex and Lucy Bingham, William and James Allen, Sarah and John Tollison, Carter and Declan Allen and Andrew and Averie Allen. She is fondly remembered by loving brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, with a service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the 1st Presbyterian Church, 19 N. Maple Ave., New Gretna, NJ 08224. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations to be made to the New Gretna Presbyterian Church. Arrangements entrusted to Brian L. Maxwell NJ Lic.
