AGE: 93 • Manchester, formerly of Carteret

Stanley A. Ciszak, 93, (formerly of Carteret) of Manchester, died on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born in Carteret and lived most of his life there, before moving to Manchester. He was a State Licensed Master Plumber and retired as President and Owner of Ciszak Plumbing & Heating Company in Carteret. Stanley was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family RC Church in Carteret. He was a World War II Veteran of the US Navy Seabees Division. Stanley was Past Commander of the American Legion Post 263, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Star Landing Post 2314 and a member of St. Elias Catholic War Veterans in Carteret. He was Past President for 30 years of the George Otlowski Citizens League and active in the creation of Middlesex County Community College.

Stanley is predeceased by his wife, Florence Ciszak and his siblings, George, Julius, Helen, Albina and Wanda. He is survived by his two sons, Peter Ciszak of Brick and Paul Ciszak and his wife, Pamela of Los Angeles, Ca; his grandchildren, David Andrew, Kevin Michael, Lauren, Kristine and John Purcell and Kimberly; and also his two great grandchildren.

The Funeral will be on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 9 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue in Carteret. Mass will be at 9:30 AM at Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family RC Church in Carteret, followed by Entombment at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum in Holmdel. The visiting hours are on Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, PO Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. The American Legion will hold its ritual on Friday at 6:30 PM and the VFW Ritual will be at 7 PM.
