Valentine H Losa of Lake Riviera, Brick departed this life Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Laurelton Village, Brick. Born June 10, 1931 in Jersey City to Valentine and Katherine Losa. After high school Valentine enlisted in the US Navy and became an Electricians Mate. While serving his country in an active war zone during the Korean War Valentine was awarded three medals of service. This past year he was honored with two additional awards from the NJ Dept. of Military and Veterans Affairs. During his service he met and married the love of his life and mother of their six children Mary Ann (nee Flakker) Losa on Aug. 24, 1957. After returning from active service Val and Mary Ann moved to the Jersey Shore where Val began his long career as a lineman working for JCP&L. As President of IBEW Local 1289 Val spent many years traveling NJ and Washington advocating for employee safety standards at the local and Federal level. He loved fishing and boating and spending time with his family on their much cherished lake front property.

Valentine was predeceased by Mary Ann in 2012. They are survived by six children and thirteen grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend a thirty minute Military Ceremony and service at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery (Arneytown) on Friday, February 15th promptly at 11:15am at the Chapel located at the Cemetery.
