William A. Wheaton, 96, of Brick, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in Pine Brook, he lived in Hillside prior to moving to Brick 21 years ago. He worked for Breeze Corp. in Union as a tool and die maker for 43 years before his retirement. William was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in Irvington. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen in 1982. William is survived by his son, William A. Wheaton Jr. and his wife Gloria of Texas; his daughter, Patricia Giovine and her husband Ronald of Brick; one brother, Arthur Wheaton and his wife Barbara of North East, Maryland; and one sister, Ruth Apice of Lake Shawnee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
