Thomas Fenwick Obituary
AGE: 76 • Toms River
Thomas Fenwick, 76, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on November 9, 2015, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born in Paterson, NJ, to Thomas and Elsie (Holbert) Fenwick. Thomas was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1957 thru 1961 aboard the U.S.S. Altair and the U.S.S. Vulcan. He was employed by the Ford Motor Co in Mahwah, NJ; and recently retired as owner of The Peppermint Tree Childcare Center in Toms River.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife Lynda Mayer Fenwick; his daughter Christibeth Palombo; his sons Scott and Craig Fenwick; and his loving grandchildren: Thomas and Summer Fenwick, Fin Fenwick, and Olivia and Jacob Palombo. Thomas was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed by them.
There will be a Memorial Gathering on Sunday, November 15, from 1 to 5 PM, with a Service at 4:30, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Cremation will be private. In place of floral tributes, the family would appreciate donations to the ASPCA, Wounded Warriors, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Tom's passing has left a great void in all that knew him. His laid back manner and sense of humor will always be missed. It's hard to believe that he's been gone this long.

One thing that will always stand out about Tom was his sense of humor. Since the early 1950's his presence would light up a room as he entered. I was fortunate to be involved in a close knit group of High School grads that stayed in touch with and benefited from Tom's friendship. Can't wait to meet up with him again in that higher place that we call Heaven.

My heart goes out to all the Fenwick family. I have had a special place in my heart for them since my kids attended The Peppermint Tree back in the 70-80s. I know that the past few years have been difficult for you, Lyn, but I have never known a family to face such challenges with more strength and love. That closeness and devotion will continue to sustain you now. Much love to you and Christibeth, Scott and Craig and all their families. Just keep all the precious memories close in your heart and mind.

Dear Lyn and family,
We wanted to be there today to pay our respects but I'm in the midst of cataract surgery in both eyes which poses some problems. You and your family have been in our thoughts and prayers and I have been reminiscing about some of our crazy adventures from the "old" days of which Tom played such a large part. The two of you have a lived a full life together with all of your various adventures and you will always have them in your memory book to savor. We will be making a donation to the Wounded Warrior in Tom's name. It is a favorite of ours and we support them fully in their work. Tom will be dearly missed. He was so very kind to us as we took over The Peppermint Tree upon his and Lyn's retirement. We will always remember how he offered assistance not only through answering questions but coming back and helping out year after year to help assure our success.
